    Travel Alerts

    Why set a travel alert?
If you are doing something inconsistent to what you normally do, it's best to set an alert. This typically means traveling but it could also be used when you are making an unusually large purchase.

When should you set a travel alert?
Before you leave. That may sound obvious, however it's often overlooked as you prepare for a big trip. Put this on your checklist along with packing and stopping the mail.

When you inform a bank about your travels, be sure to consider transit locations in addition to your destinations. During a road trip, this can include any states you will travel through, or lay-over destinations while traveling by air.

How do you set a travel alert?
Travel alerts can  quickly be set up via these methods:

    • Online Banking: go to Online Banking and select Card Management under Services.  Select Debit Card and tap on Travel notifications
    • Call us at 833-759-1941
    • Send us a message in Online Banking

To stay secure during your travels, your best tool could be your cell phone. Make sure your bank has your mobile number and that you can send and receive texts while you travel.

    Purchase Alerts for Debit Cards

The Visa Purchase Alerts service allows cardholders to be notified in near real-time of transaction activity on their enrolled card(s). These Visa Purchase Alerts messages can be via e-mail and/or mobile text messages.
