Taking Flight Together: Celebrating Growth and 85 Years of Service

As we continue through 2026, I am proud to share the progress Skyward Credit Union has made in strengthening our services, supporting our members, and building lasting connections within the aviation community. This year, our 85th anniversary adds an extra reason to celebrate decades of service, innovation, and our ongoing commitment to helping members aim higher.

Skyward’s membership continues to expand steadily. We currently serve nearly 22,000 members, reflecting consistent growth over the past several years. Our expanded field of membership brings aviation professionals, their families, and affiliated organizations into the Skyward community, ensuring more people can access innovative financial solutions designed for their unique needs. Our team remains deeply engaged in the community, contributing volunteer hours, scholarships, and charitable donations that make a meaningful local impact. These efforts reflect our dedication not just to financial services, but to the communities we serve.

We continue to enhance the member experience through digital innovation, process improvements, and personalized service. Our online account opening and AI-driven loan decisioning tools provide faster, more convenient access to financial solutions. Meanwhile, the Aviation Honors Program continues to grow as we expand eligibility and enhance benefits for those connected to aviation and military service. Members of the program enjoy lower loan rates, mortgage credits, and cash incentives for checking accounts. Effective May 8, 2026, eligibility has expanded to include employees of companies who support or contribute to the aviation industry, aviation retirees, members of IAM District 70 and affiliated local chapters, students and faculty of approved institutions, and current and former members of the U.S. Military and qualified dependents, including Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retirees, and Veterans.

Since 1941, Skyward has proudly supported aviation professionals and their families. To mark our 85th anniversary, we’re excited to host a Member Appreciation Event at Tanganyika Wildlife Park on Saturday, June 6, from 4:00–8:00 PM. This private, after-hours event is exclusively for members, volunteers, and our team. We look forward to celebrating with you and your family as we honor 85 years of service, dedication, and commitment.
